Organic waste management remains an environmental challenge in Kelir Village, Banyuwangi Regency. Rising household activity has steadily increased the volume of organic waste, yet management remains limited to disposal, landfilling, or incineration, which can cause environmental pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and health problems. This Community Service Program aims to develop a community-based maggot production unit as an environmentally friendly and economically valuable solution for organic waste management. Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation quickly decomposes organic waste, reduces waste volume, and yields maggots for livestock and fish feed, plus kasgot as organic fertiliser. The programme is implemented through a participatory approach that involves the community in the planning, implementation, and management stages. Activities include outreach, technical training on BSF maggot cultivation, production unit construction, operational assistance, institutional strengthening, and monitoring and evaluation. The outputs of this activity include the establishment of a sustainably operating maggot production unit, increased community capacity in organic waste management, and the processing of 100 kg of waste per day. This programme also aims to reduce the volume of organic waste by 30–50%, increase community income, and support the development of a circular economy at the village level.
